Frankfurter Lichtdruckanstalt Cards

I show a small selection of cards only, not necessarily representing all types of cards printed by Frankfurter Lichtdruckanstalt. But the German views were definitely printed them. Wish I would have some non-German samples mentioned in the press notice. However, I do not collect cards by this company seriously, only for research purposes. Perhaps you have seen any non-German issues and could share a scan when possible. Thank you!

Illustrated are two cards from England I strongly believe coming from the Frankfurter (or Sueddeutsche) Lichtdruckanstalt presses. Another interesting customer appears to had been the local Loewenthal publishing company, who concentrated on reproductions of old engravings (Merian). A collector from the USA told me once that he had accumulated more than 200 different cards by published by Loewenthal.

Frankfurter Lichtdruckanstalt Kumpf & Wiesbaden was surely a bigger ppc printer in the years around the turn of the century. Standard collotype cards black or other colours, hand-coloured, combined collotype/lithgraphy views, some with glossy finish or novelty-style "mother-of-pearl" finish. Many makes and designs. Unfortunately showing various type fonts used for captions/imprints, the address side layout differs often, too. Identification no easy job indeed.
